Be picky

Just a quick one tonight, folks. Did you ever have a door where the hinge screw holes were a little stripped, and the door began to sag because the screws didn’t hold the hinges tight to the frame? Then try this little trick: Remove the screws from the too-big holes one at a time. Get a hardwood toothpick, stick it as far down into the hole as it will go, and then break it off, leaving the piece in the hole.  Now reinsert the screw.  If it still doesn’t hold, try two or three pieces of toothpick. This usually works pretty well.
